Warlock Skills

DemonEldritchChaos

The eighth class arrived with Reign of the Warlock, and it sits between the archetypes the game already had: part summoner, part caster, part weapon fighter. In place of a shield or an orb it carries a grimoire in the off hand, and a recurring theme across its skills is paying something to gain power, whether by binding a hostile demon, feeding a corpse to a servant, or destroying that servant outright for a burst of strength.

Demon is the summoning tree: Goatmen for melee, Tainted for ranged support, and Defilers that bind enemy souls so they share incoming damage, backed by Demonic Mastery, Engorge, Blood Oath, and Bind Demon, which turns a wounded enemy demon into a servant. Consume then sacrifices that demon in exchange for power. Eldritch is the weapon tree, where Cleave, Echoing Strike, and Mirrored Blades attack with the equipped weapon, Blade Warp hurls it and teleports the Warlock to its impact, and hexes place effects on the weapon that Eldritch Blast exploits. Chaos handles ranged area control, pairing Flame Wave, Ring of Fire, and Apocalypse on the fire side with Miasma Bolt and Miasma Chains, the Abyss that pulls enemies together before collapsing, and sigils laid on the ground to slow, enrage, or detonate whatever crosses them.

As with every other class, one main skill and its synergies outperform a thin spread, though hexes and sigils serve several builds at once. Recognizable configurations include the demon summoner, Echoing Strike and Mirrored Blades weapon builds, and Chaos casters organized around fire or around Abyss.
